The Alberta Regional Championships XVs (ARC XVs) is Rugby Alberta's premier age-grade regional competition, showcasing the province's top U17 and U19 male and female rugby players. The tournament serves as the primary identification and selection event for the 2026 Alberta Wolf Pack provincial teams.

Spectator Information

Admission
  • No fee for admission (fee for parking)
  • Seating is available throughout the facility.
  • Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, sunscreen, and weather-appropriate clothing.
Parking
  • On-site parking is available throughout the tournament weekend.
  • Parking is $10 per vehicle, per day.
  • Parking attendants will be on site to assist with traffic flow and direct vehicles to available parking areas.
  • Carpooling is encouraged to help reduce congestion and parking demand.
Food & Beverage
  • Concession services and food vendors will be available on site throughout the weekend.
  • Outside food and beverage policies will be communicated prior to the event.
What to Bring

To make the most of your tournament experience, we recommend bringing:

  • Lawn chairs or portable seating
  • Sunscreen and hats
  • Refillable water bottles
  • Weather-appropriate clothing for changing conditions
  • Cash or card for parking, concessions, and merchandise purchases

Format

  • Two pools, one with 4 teams and one with 3 teams: 
  • Pool A: 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th ranked teams from 2025 
  • Pool B: 2nd, 4th, and 6th ranked teams from 2025 
  • Pool A plays 2 pool games for rankings 
  • Pool B plays a 3-team single round robin 
  • Top 2 in each pool go to semi-finals 
  • Remaining teams play 3 team consolation pool ï»¿

Volunteer Sign Up

We’re looking for volunteers to support one of Alberta’s premier rugby events. This is a great opportunity to be part of the event experience, support athletes and organizers, and get involved in the local rugby community.


Volunteer benefits include an official event t-shirt, lunch provided each day, and entry into a draw for a $100 Rugby Alberta merch credit. The credit can be used on-site for Rugby Alberta Wolf Pack merchandise and Rugby Canada gear.

A thrilling encounter saw the Roos come from behind to secure a crucial 1 point victory. Down by 12 points at halftime, captain Jake Morrison sparked the comeback with a brilliant individual goal in the late in the 3rd quarter. Young gun winger Tommy Chen sealed the win with a spectacular off-the-ground finish in the dying minutes. The defensive effort from Mike Stevens and Danny Walsh was outstanding, making crucial tackles when it mattered most.

Rugby Alberta is proud to announce the adoption of a lower tackle height law trial for all rugby played within the province of Alberta under its jurisdiction. The law trial will apply to competitions beginning after March 1, 2026 . This decision aligns with World Rugby’s recommendation that the lower tackle height be adopted globally across the community game starting July 1, 2026 . Rugby Alberta has agreed to implement the trial in advance, with the full support of Rugby Canada and World Rugby.
